1. What are SMART VISION Glasses?

SMART VISION glasses are wearable devices that help people with uncorrectable visual impairment. SMART VISION incorporates Artificial Intelligence, Machine Vision and Machine Learning to recognize faces, objects, expression, and surroundings.

  • It recognizes objects in its view such as vehicles, obstacles, traffic signals, zebra crossings, furniture,
  • Identifies people, approximate age , expressions and recognizes people if a name is attached
  • Can read books, road signs and newspapers and manuscripts
  • Recognizes currency notes.
  • Can talk in Indian regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil and Telugu

2. What languages the device support

SMART VISION supports English, Hindi and all Indian regional languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Gujarati.


3. Does SMART VISION improve eyesight?

SMART VISION glasses do not give eye sight or improve eye sight of people with Vision Impairment. It uses Artificial Intelligence to help identify things around them, reads texts in different languages, finds obstacles in the person’s way, and recognizes faces. The information is conveyed to the person in English. The devices will not improve vision of the visually impaired person.

5. What is the warranty on the product.

We provide 2 year warranty for manufacturing defects.


6. What is the refund policy?

Full refund policy if the product is returned within 60 days.


7. I would like to have a demonstration of SVG before I make a purchase decision. Could you please arrange?

We will give full demonstration of the product either in person or through Google Meet/Zoom Call


8. What are the product support hours?

Our Technical support hours are from 9 am to 6 pm


9. Can I increase or decrease the speed of audio to text?

Yes. You can. In the mobile phone settings, you can make the adjustment.


10. What is the recommended distance from of material in reading mode?

The recommended distance is 10 – 15 inches from the Glasses to the text book/paper


11. What should be the distance from SMART VISION Glasses and the face to be Recognized?

Upto 150 cms ( 1.5 metres ) the glass can recognize and record the face.


12. Can I perform all the functions of the SMART VISION Glasses in offline mode?

You can have access to most of the functions except the Face recognition and storage function. You can access the reading option in three languages which are English, Hindi and Marathi.


13. What functions can I access using voice commands?

All functions can be accessed.


14. How many languages will my voice command option support?

Voice command will support only English.


15. I wear a hearing aid. Can I use SMART VISION Glasses?

Yes. You can.


16. Can I connect the SMART VISION Glasses to my hearing aid?

You cannot connect the SVG/SLVG to your hearing aid.


17. Will I be able to read hand written texts?

You will be able to hand written texts. Unless it is scribbled and not very clear.


18. Is translation possible with SMART VISION Glasses?

Translation is not possible.


19. Are there any online video/audio tutorials which I could access?

Yes. We provide complete training through online/Webinars. Check www.shgtechnologies.com


20. Is Wi-fi mandatory for the SMART VISION Glasses to function?

No. All you need is a smart phone with internet connectivity.


21. Can I read a single word / single phrase / single paragraph using SMART VISION Glasses?

Yes. You can.


22. Can I set up the day, date and time on the SMART VISION Glasses?

Yes. You can.


23. Can I decrease or increase the volume of sound on the SMART VISION Glasses?

Yes. You can.


24. How should I change the language option?

Yes. You can change the language option in the app settings.


25. If my voice changes because of sore throat, will it affect my voice commands?

No. It will not.


26. How can I set up SMART VISION Glasses app in my android phone?

You can get the app from the play store.


27. How do I read the text/passage in SMART VISION Glasses?

You will get to know all the info in the audio and video tutorial.


28. Is it possible to edit the recorded face to some other person?

Yes. It takes the serial number of the recorded picture. You can change the picture if you want


29. I would like to repeat a passage to be read. Is it possible?

Yes. It is possible.


30. Is my SMART VISION Glasses water resistant or waterproof?

No. Since the SVG/SLVG has few attachments which have to exposed, your SVG/SLVG cannot be made water resistant or water proof. You have to take proper care like every other electronic device, without exposing to water/rain.


31. Can I drive a Car using SMART VISION Glasses?

No. You cannot in this current version.


32. Do you provide periodic software updates?

Yes. We do provide all the necessary software updates periodically.


33. What about the traffic signs?

Yes. It can read the traffic signs, provided if they are accompanied by words


34. Can I save the text for future reading?

Yes. You can save the text for future reading.


35. What about the newspaper write ups?

Yes. You can read the newspaper write ups


36. What is the minimum font size of the texts for the SMART VISION Glasses to comprehend?

Arial 7.


37. Whom should I contact for the accessories, in case of need?

38. Does the SMART VISION Glasses operate in extreme hot conditions?

Yes.


39. Will the SVG/SLVG identify the food items on my plate?


Yes. It can identify most of the food items like fruits, vegetables, western food and some Indian food items. We are constantly working to include more items in the near future and periodic updates will be given.


40. How do I register a new face in SMART VISION Glasses?

All info is given in the tutorial.


41. How do I charge my SMART VISION Glasses?

No need to charge it since it does not contain any batteries. All you have to do is connect your SVG/SLVG to your smart phone.


42. Can I record the text and retrieve later?

Yes. This feature is coming soon


43. Is the SMART VISION Glasses app both android and iOS friendly?

As of now Android. iOS very soon.


44. Can I pause, skip and stop reading?

Yes. You can.


45. What about Excel spread sheets, tables etc.,

It can read the fields. We are constantly working on the background to improve the versality.


46. Can I use cooling glasses with SMART VISION Glasses?

Yes. You can use any Glass, including Sunglass.


47. Will the SMART VISION Glasses connect to my hearing aids through a Bluetooth connection?

Yes.
